Re: building the base
Thu, November 27, 2008 - 12:44 PMThe only way to see the conditioned patterns of the mind is to become aware of them through their own expressions, true. Resisting or creating fight to these patterns only creates more of the same, true. How then do we change these patterns without creating resistance, or without "force"?
First it is understood that my actions are a result of my experience, or of the result of my DNA's experience and memory, as well as my minds. There are conscious and subconscious parts of both the brain and DNA, as can be recognized from their ability to change or adapt, as well as their capacity to retain specific values. Discovering which of these reactions to experience is based off truth or off of a false culturally perpetuated truth, one that we are born into, is quite a task.
Sometimes the origin of some reactive pattern is not apparent in our childhood or growth. I can figure out why I don't save money that well, I can even take on new beliefs around money and develop new ways of dealing with money, but I can't seem to grasp why I feel "need". Through meditation I have found that it is a quality inherent to the nature of the brain as created by DNA. Relating to why DNA may of made this I can see it a neccessary part of it's own growth. At somepoint, without seperation, the one would never be realized. In fact, it seems as if all serves to remind me of what it is not. Sadness gives me the ability to know joy, the mind gives me the ability to relate to that which is not the mind.
Guess before going further reading the suggested blog would be smart. I just love expressing my personal understanding behind these types of questions.
thanks for posting.
